Unit Maps

This is an AP Language and Composition Unit Map focusing on influential American writings, studying both the arguments made about American identity as well as the rhetorical strategies involved.  Authors studied include George Washington, Frederick Douglass, Thomas Jefferson, John and Abigail Adams, Dolores Huerta, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton among others.

This is a week-long Junior English Unit Map on satire. It uses as resources several articles from The Onion, writings from Sinclair Lewis, and  A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift. At the unit's conclusion, students write their own satire as a summative assessment.
